Panoramic view of Sandakan coast |
This is the view of Sandakan from Pulau Tiong, an islet in front of Refugees' settlement. A place where most of the refugees' children in Sandakan grew up. Our home! Yes it's our second home. It's a slum place but the refugees like to stay here rather than in any places in Sabah. It was opened in 1984 for the Refugees who fled from war between Moro national Liberation Front and the Philippine Army.
